Flower Garden Solitaire
Flowergarden Solitaire
Welcome to Flowergarden Solitaire on solitairex.io—the perfect blend of classic Patience Card Game mechanics with a soothing garden theme. Plant your cards and watch your victory blossom!
Objective
Your goal is to build eight foundation piles, each from Ace to King, by suit. When all cards are on the foundations, your garden is in full bloom!
How to Play
- Deal the Layout: Shuffle a standard 52-card deck. Deal 36 cards into 8 “flower beds” (tableau piles) of 4 cards each, face up. The remaining 16 cards form the stock.
- Build Foundations: As you find Aces in the flower beds or stock, move them to start the 8 foundations. Build each up in suit (Ace → 2 → … → King).
- Move Within Tableau: You may move only the top card of any flower bed onto another tableau pile if it is one rank lower and of the same suit (e.g., move the 6♣ onto the 7♣).
- Use the Stock: Whenever no moves are possible, click the stock to deal one card face up to a waste pile. The top waste card can be played to a foundation or tableau if legal.
- Refill Gaps: When you empty a flower bed, you may immediately refill it with any single card from the tableau or the waste.
Rules
- Tableau Building: Down by rank and in-suit only.
- Foundation Building: Up by rank and in-suit, Ace to King.
- Stock Redeals: No redeals—use your cards wisely.
- Empty Beds: Can be filled with any legal card.
- Winning the Game: All 52 cards must reach the foundations.
Strategies & Tips
- Expose Hidden Cards: Prioritize moves that reveal face-down cards in the tableau.
- Plan Foundation Builds: Delay moving cards to the foundations if they’re needed to free up other builds.
- Use Empty Beds: Create or maintain at least one empty flower bed to maneuver long sequences.
- Stock Management: Before drawing from the stock, exhaust all possible tableau moves.
- Suit Sequencing: Build within the tableau by suit whenever possible to maximize future moves.
